anyone paint there interior?
Yes if you are going for a clean look go with the original black one. Prior rice boys must have had my car and my dash is painted black which is all ok till it starts to chip. I'll just repaint mine bt my car is not 'clean' it is more on the 'ghetto' side of things.
<<<<Painted interior panels Krylon Semi Flat BlacK
I would pick up some real black interior panels if most peeps out there weren't such rip offs
"$100 for interior panels, but NOT ALL of them???!!!"
If a deal comes by like $100 for EVERTHING including carpet AND DASH comes along then I'm all over it but for now I'm happy with my $6 fix...WAYYY better than stock BLUE.

I was at the auto parts stoe today and I saw all kinds of paint that is made for painting plastic /\like he said/\ I think it was krylon so if you dont want to spend all kinds of money you should give it a shot.

Krylon is the best paint for interior painting
Back 2 years ago in my first Crx, I did everything blue and white and it looked sick
If you put more than 3 layer of paint on it though, youll lose the texture of OEM
Id probably just buy a black interior though since you have to pull the dash anyways, and that is a ******* ****

Just keep the blue interior. What is wrong with the blue? Mine is blue on blue. The blue doesn't look that bad. Besides, keep the blue or strip the car, find perfect condition black interior (where does one find anything perfect for these cars?), and re-build it using every intended screw, snap, bolt, etc? I will just keep the blue. Just swap 91 Integra blue seats into it.

Yea I had blue interior in my CRX untill I got rid of it. Let me tell yah it looks wayyyyyyy better than brown interior. I'm talking about **** brown like my damn 91 Integra. I cant stand that interior color so I decided to go with Krylons new paint called Fusion. Havent tried it yet but I hear nothing but good things about it.

yeha the biggest reason why i dont want to paint it is because of the feeling of the interior, i mean i want it to feel good like not like it was painted.
Krylon Fusion, now I did see that at the local WALMART, but the associate told me it would come out the same color/finish as the cap which was pretty damn shiny
I went Krylon Semi Flat Black primer for the $$$ it's a dam good fix
Not trying to win any car shows, and yes it will eventually scratch flake or dry up but it's only to hold me over from NOW til i score a good deal on black pieces

Krylon Fusion-Satin Black. (flat black cap with the word SATIN in white letters on it)works great. using it on some of the trim pieces right now in project Beat-R. Great no chip smooth finish.
HIGHLY Recommend it

I painted my whole interior from blue to black. I wanted to put a dash in, but after researching and getting info on how to do the VIN, etc, I did not feel like dealing with the illegal issues, etc
I did about 8 coats on the dash and probably 4 on the interior panels (not finished, but I don't really care about that part) Also the pic below is during the painting process, which took about 2-3 months (I was working 2 jobs at the time). The pillars are painted and the console is positioned right.

Haha if they were black I'd buy them but that color needs a volume **** on it just to turn it down.
My 88 STD civic hatch had the shitbrown interior stock, but I bought a black 89 Si dash and put it in and painted the rest. I know everyone likes Krylon but I hate the ****, it never sprays out uniform whereas Rustoleum comes out great. I first bought some SEM satin black interior rattlecans and it came out good but the shade was off quite a bit. Eventually I found that Rusto flat black and Krylon flat blacks match about as good as it'll ever get. The key to doing your interior is PREP WORK. Take the pieces out, wipe them down real good with iso alcahol, and get some plastic prep spray that allows paints to adhere to it. Three thin layers looks great and lasts a good many years. I painted mine in 98 and took them out in 2000 and they still looked great. I've been interiorless since then but I think it looks more dirtbag ghetto on a street car than "racey" like I had hoped (I did it for weight reduction primarily but it's too f'ing loud).
All that said, if I had to do it again, I'd go with real black pieces if I could find them for the right price, but I wouldn't think twice about painting them if I could find the parts in whatever color cheap.

Get some GERMAN FAT CAPS for your KRYLONS and some RUSTO FAT CAPS for your rustoleum spray cans, and the whole painting process will be alot easier, quicker, neater, and it will come out in a nice uniform pattern. Those caps make the coverage area much bigger when u spray it as opposed to the regular stock caps that come on spraypaint. They are like 1 finger width, these caps make the paint come out and cover an area of like 5 finger width. It pays of to do GRAFFITI! thats how i know this, but most of you probably wont know where to obtain these caps....but if u do...go for it...there a big help!
