Hybrid Accord
Anyone heard of the new hybrid accord, it comes with a more powerful engine than the standard v6, 260 hp (i think) and get 30 mpg in the city and 38 on the highway, about the same as a non-hybrid new civic. the accord will go for a lil more than a fully loaded EX at almost 30k. Has a gas saving mode where it runs on half of the 6 cylinder, seems kool.
Honda also has a Diesel.
So this silly and costly hybrid runs on 3 cyl to save gas.
GM's Cadillac tried that years ago with a 4-6-8 version.
Much better is the VW Passat Diesel for economy and performance. And if Honda imports their Diesel, many will be sweating bullets !

The new Chrysler 300 runs on 4 cylinders at cruising speed. I happened to see on the highway today for the first time; a guy was test driving it with a salesman. It looked great btw.
As for as the diesel thing goes diesel good for economy but the this is more about pollution than economy. And diesel pollutes bad, electric has zero emissions. The SULEV and ZEV ratings are what all this is for.
Side Note: I am not an EPA fan and can't stand failing inspection for emissions while a 69 Camaro with less power suffocates everyone in the garage.
Damn CARB, Damn EPA

as does the dodge magnum RT. hopefully this system will work better than the caddy system did. it would be teh sex if you could have a hemi with v6 fuel economy

silly and costly???...i dont think so......the cady came out before the more advanced electronics....was that engine even EFI???........i mean come on, you cant compare the electronics on OBD -8 motors to todays advanced and precisley refined hybrids of engine and computer
honda wont bring the diseal over because american consumers have never been a big fan of dieseal, and the ONLY attraction has been the in the truck market, because they can make more torque (especially when boosted)
