b20z ek swap issues w/ axles...
I have searched and could not find conclusive nor satisfactory information regarding the question that I have.
the axles and half shaft that I am using came out of a 94 integra AT with ABS.
I have only recently started to experience a shudder at low speeds, and a loss of transmission fluid.
the fluid leaks out of the driver's side axle seal, and upon inspection of the half-shaft, the bracket that bolts onto the block was loose. after replacing the bolts and re-tightening, the car still shudders as it did before.
my question, do I HAVE to have MT axles and halfshaft? why did it only start shuddering, and continue after tightening?
thanks.

could be. Is your car MT or AT? If its MT any 10w30 motor oil will work. I would also suggest getting the correct innermidate shaft.
I had a shuddering problem after doing my b20 swap (B20 w/GSR trans) but it turned out to be the right Axle was bad. Swapped it out and no problem.

what i think is since you got a 99-00 civic hatch... i thin you would need a NON-ABS MT Axles...since the car is a non-abs and your putting a ABS axles on it...i could be wrong tho
2.0l ek,
it's MT, and what is considered the "correct" half shaft?
JDMFreak,
I've read that the ABS axels don't matter, but I've also read that they do matter.
the car was towed twice, is there any possibility that this might have any negative effects? (I wasn't present during the entire tow, so I don't know if anything horrible happened.)
this issue only occured once I had the car sitting for a while...

Yes depending on where they tied the car down, that could be the problem, probably no that likely though.

how long was the car sitting for? Any flat spots on the tires?

thanks for the input.
when we had it up in the air, before tightening the halfshaft, there was a lot of play up and down.. but afterwards, no movement.
what would be the best way to test and troubleshoot when it is in the air?
