TDC QUESTION:
Hi my manual says that there is a white mark on the crank pulley but mine has a series of 3 little grooves and then a single groove by itself. Do I line up the pointer with the middle groove or did I just miss the white mark? Thanks. Here is a link to the picture of the pointer thing I'm talking about but you can't really see the grooves. I made red marks where the grooves are.

ok thanks,
that's what i assumed because the cam pulley says up at the top but it's not directly straight up, is that normal? (Is it ok for it to not be completely straight up?)

First thing is the 3 marks are for SPARK timing. The single one is actually TDC & that's the one you use for camshaft timing.

The REAL cam timing marks are little dimples on the cam sprocket, out at the teeth. They should line up horizontally with the top of the head or the top of the shroud behind the pulley.

Yeah, I do believe that the F22B2 motor has to line up with the top of the head and the F22B1 motor has to line up with the top of the plastic cover behind the cam gear. I'm not 100% sure but I'm mostly sure that this is correct. Correct me if I'm wrong.
