spring cuttin
i am in a tight budget so i cant buy a set of coilovers now. so i was wondering if i cut my spring on all 4 will it cause any damage, and if i do it right will it be alright ? i know coilovers are the best thbing to get but right now i cant afford 1 yet and i only want to drop my car abt 2 inches low so what do i do ?
I bought a set of coils but knew they were gonna take a week, so just for ***** and giggles I took out the torch and very slowly lowerred my beater about 2.5 inches all the way around. I only work on the top two circles and they were pretty much almost collapsed on eachother when I was done.
It too me a good 70-80 min to get it pretty perfect with a 1 finger gap all the way around, costs was obviously almost nothing, just some butane and HONESTLY the ride isnt that bad, wasnt as good as OEM but **** it was very very cheap, easy to do and looked bad ***
Im sure Ill do it to my winter beater as well

I ended up with **** spray out of my rear passenger strut on a set of cut springs. To my defense, I was 18 and only cared about getting as low as possible, but with a set of Neuspeed race springs I got almost as much of a drop and still haven't broken any oem struts. It just rides like crap though with oem struts.
Overall I don't think the neuspeeds made my ride any better than the cut springs, but cornering was improved greatly.
Don't do it
