Default What Would You Guys Do? 4500 Limit

Getting tired of my 88 Si as it is right now. Went to much show and I feel I have to baby it to much. Cant strip this car because of the massive body overhauls I did with moulding the bumpers and everything so I want to start over this winter.

Dont know how much money Ill have but prob around $4500 (USD) + I might get a small loan

I WANT AN H22!. But I know I cant do it myself, but finding one that is already swapped in is obviously going to be very hard. What would you do?

I know I want the WW RS kit, and Ill be painting in Flat Army Green

Really my question is would you guys buy a Crx that already has a H22 swap, knowing it has most likely been beat on or maybe not installed properly? Or stick with a Bseries?

Hasport did release an H22 Mount kit right? How hard would it be with that kit for a beginner? Any big troubles?

Ive only done a ZC swap, so I dont have much experience or knowledge or any way to fab anything.

Just need some help deciding

Hmmmm

Also the only mods to this H22 would be bolts ons, type s cam, 75 shot and some tuning

If I bought a crx, then bought the motor and the Hasport mounts. If I already put the motor in how much would a shop still charge to finish the axles/wiring and all that if I provided it all and the motor was already installed

get a 272 delta cam, bisi header, aem CAI, drag radials, jim fab bar, a dremel (for some head work) and set of gaskets for the car. (plus tuneup stuff). Should be a pretty fun car then. And i think it wont cost a that much.

Gave Biran a Pm, well see what he says when he gets back to me. If there is a kit I think I will go ahead and purchase it and a complete H22 motor.

I dont thik a shop would charge more than 500 for the service if I provide the car with motor already in there + axles/ecu

What else would be involded, is there a lot of wiring? Fabrication? Special Axles?

Well Brian G at Hasport said they were not gonna finalize the mount for another 2-5 months, which is no biggy since I would love to do this over the winter anyways.

Definetely going to buy the motor and everything needed, atleast put it in on the mounts, then Ill do all my body work and paint it myself and kit and everything, then see if I can finish the motor install, and if by the time I want it on the road and its not done, Ill bring it to a shop

Could comeone just give me a list of whats needed

Could someone also address the cable/hydro tranny
