Well today I was driving on the freeway with my air conditioner on set on the lowest setting #1. I had it on for maybe 20 minutes and I notice some white smoke coming out from the middle vents. So I just turned off the air conditioner and waited a few minutes and turned it back on, no smoke came out this time. Just wondering what this is, is something leaking or broken??

 

mine did the same thing today, i think its caused by the rapid temp change between the cold and warm air.

 

yeah i thought it might have been that too, but i need to know for sure..

 

If the ac system were to have a leak the only way you would get smoke out of the vents would be if your evaporator exploded. AC systems usually leak out very slowly and since it is a gas you won't see it. When an AC system is under high pressure and something blows the gas coming out would look like a mist and stink. Also if there were a leak that bad your ac would not be cold at all.

no its normal. My integra does it too. Probebly because of a poorly manufactured condenser.

i guess yea thats coz of changin the weather.. but to make sue when it happen again roll down ur window dont suffocate urself it might be bad gas too...

 

could possibly be the heater core blowing in coolent, that happend to me w/ a bronco i once had
