How much does it usually cost to replace the radiator (OEM)?
OT: Is it me or do lowered Integras tend to go through radiators a little quickly?
<----------- Who is
because there is coolant leaking all over his engine bay

well tell us what happend to ur radiator? how low are you? and what happend to bust the oem radiator?
just get an aftermarket one bro, same price or maybe cheaper then oem, and cool's better depending on what kind u get.
?fluidyne? have aluminum radiators that cool very good. my boy has one for his supra and it never heats up now, only cuz he's running 2 very big *** turbo's and it used to overheat like a pregnant bitch in labor

I dont know what exactly happened. This is the scenario. I was at a stoplight and I started to smell burning coolant. I pulled over and opened the hood to find coolant all over the engine bay
Its leaking pretty bad
. I'm only 2" lower than stock and I do not drive my car on rough roads. If I get an aftermarket unit I will have to get an AT cooler (on the AT DC4 the radiator and the AT cooler are connected as one unit
).

I think Honda uses a lousy design for their radiators.....plastic tanks crimped onto a metal core with a gasket in between. Mine started leaking at the gasket last year at around 110k. I replaced it with a Modine that has metal tanks WELDED to the metal core...I don't expect to ever have to replace it again
Good luck, and don't fool around and let your engine overheat....
PS - I've heard they can be "re-crimped" or have the gasket replaced, but why fbother...I'd just get a new one.

Did you blow out an end tank? That usually means you have too much pressure in your system for whatever reason.. You could get an aftermarket OE replacement brand new for about $100. Same price for plastic or metal end tanks. I'd go with metal. Go to your local radiator shop.
I just swapped out my radiator a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't leaking as bad as yours seems, but it was starting to spray coolant all over too. I ordered one from radiator.com. It's not OEM, it is made by Visteon, but quality wise, it seemed to be okay, plus it comes with a lifetime warranty (though I'm sure they'll come up with something to not honor it). Price wise, it wasn't bad either, under $200.00. If you pick up one of these aftermarket pieces, make sure to get something to plug the auto tranny cooler lines (if you have a 5 sp)
i just fixed my radiator yesterday...i was cleaning up the engine bay and saw a small drip coming from around the lower rad. hose. what i did was pull the radiator out and crimp it down around where i found the leak....it did crimp down alot and so far no leak! im on like my 3rd radator in one year so i wasnt down to spend 150 for a new one...try that man..find the leak and crimp it. hope it helps.

I got a replacement radiator from http://radiatorbarn.com. It's about $100 shipped to your door. I've had no problems so far, and it has a lifetime warranty too.

Just curious, what could be the cause of this?

If your head lifts up (From the head not being torqued down properly or from too much turbo boost, hehe) or you have a blown headgasket, you will have pressure in your radiator system.

Is the Modine unit w/ the welded metal tanks for an AT Integra (I'm trying to look for an all alumninum radiator for an AT Integra but I am but having any luck
)? Also can the metal endtanks and the metal core handle increased pressure ( This is what I want to know) Where did you get it from?
What makes the metal end tanks better than the plastic? Which is a better: a radiator w/ an alumninum core or a radiator w/ a metal core? I just want a radiator that will not leak in a week (b/c I have too much pressure in the system) and not let my car overheat
. I found this http://www.radiatorbarn.com/s7...C1.8L (the first option listed). Is this a good deal? I'm just trying to get a good understanding of this! Thanks for the responses

I picked up a radiator from radiators.com and I've been happy with it. Works just like OEM and I haven't had any problems since I put it in back in Febuary. Price couldn't be beat and it's got a lifetime warranty. I don't think you need anything fancy...
