Default Anyone running any HKS Hi-Power Exhaust systems?

I was interested in this exhaust but i havent seen any feedback (according to the search) about how it performs. Im in a tossup between an exhaust that will perform for possible FI in the future, but i dont want something extremely loud nor having a "pumpkin shooter" stickin out my bumper. The hks setup looks to be a smaller canister style with a straight thru design. I really dont want a baffled muffler that restricts alot of flow........... but i dont want something real loud.

I will be using a catalytic converter ( i have to keep it legal ) and i will be using a comptech tig header with the 2.25 collector. I noticed the hks hi-power for the gsr has 55mm piping which is basically 2.25........ thanx in advanced

How bout peformance wise? I noticed its only 55mm instead of the 60mm piping in the apexi WS and RSR exmag..........

Also how big is the muffler? i mean is it a huge coffee can or smaller than the norm? thanx for the help dude........

I have the 3" axle back titaniunm cannister...with custom 3" straight pipe...to my surprise w/ a turbo set up it is pretty quiet. It is quieter than my 2.5 inch catback before the turbo....it has a very deep and low tone...dosnt really sound like a honda to me...i dont have any dyno results with it because my motor is gettin rebuilt now but i really like it...the cannister on the axle back its really big tho so it cant be angled the greatest...i dont know about a 3" catback for integras...

I doubt there would be much of a difference in performance between a canister exhaust and one with a muffler, like the Ex Mag. What would matter more would be pipe diameter. I'd probably go with the Ex Mag as it does have 60mm as opposed to the HKS's 55, and the Ex mag is also supposed to be the quietest exhaust on the market.

i just think it's kinda f weird they only make certain parts for my car... they make a turbo manifold but no turbo.. how stupid

I had one on my 7th gen civic. LOVED it! It is a great exhaust. I was disappointed to discover that this particular exhuast for the DC2 runs the pipe under the LCA. And with how low I think my car is going to be, there would only be a matter of a few inches space between the exhaust pipe and the ground. I wouldnt want to spend that much on an exhaust only to have it damaged from road rash within a couple weeks.
Just my $0.02.

I have this system. GREAT sound. Pretty damn quiet too. I noticed the most difference in my mid to high rpm's. Love it... would trade it for the world...

do you have this on a teg? im thinking of going turbo so the piping may be a bit too small for me........ i never thought it would be this hard to decide on an exhaust!

i might just pick up a spoon n1 axle back since i already have an aftermarket b-pipe.......

well i dont know about the performance part of the hi- poer but i do know the sound is very nice... i will soon be running that exhaust on a da teg and the teg will also be turbo. The way i see it i will just run that exhaust with turbo , but when needed i will just run open down pimp.. maybe just by a e- cut out for the exhuast
