If you need to know how..pick up a service manual.. but hers the just of what you have to do.

1. Take off wheel
2. disconnect battery
3. remove crank pulley
4. remove valve cover
5. remove timing cover
6. unscrew timing tensior (sp)
7. take old belt off. (You can cut if you want)
8. put jack under motor
9. remove drivers side motor mount
10. replace timing belt.

To do the water pump..You have to drain coolant and then BEFORE replacing the timing belt and assembling everything back together...unscrew all the water pump bolts and replace. use a gasket sealer so it wont leak. timing belt matches water pump. So when you are replacing water pump might as well upgrade. I have a b16 vtec waterpump laying around if you want to buy it. it has only 35k miles on it. I used a ITR one that i picked up from acura on my lsvtec so i dont need it. 25 bucks plus shipping. great deal.

wow you're lucky...140k and it hasn't snapped. I have a 94 LS and it snapped at 100k. I paid much more than I should've if I just replaced it when I needed to. Let's say about $200 extra for tow fees and leakdown testing for bent valves. I got lucky though and everything came out fine. Just a thought, sorry I didn't answer your question

i highly reccomend that you also replace the cam seals, crank seal, & valve cover gasket. while your up in there. i've know alot of teg owners who just did belts and pump and developed oil leaks while the belts & pump were still good from replacment.
