Clutch problems! Help ASAP Please
Car: 91 Crx, d15 rebuild, jdm cable tranny with lsd.
Problem:
The clutch will not disengage. All symptoms mimic almost a blown clutch. Press pedal down, car in gear; crank it over, car jumps forward. I CAN shift from gear to gear.
The Facts:
1) There is lube in the trans 2)It does shift properly from gear to gear and to neutral 3)New clutch cable(brand spanking new) 4)Replace clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing last summer(5k miles on them)
6) Trans and all of #5 worked fine before swap
Help me please!
Thanks,
Synth

It wouldnt run for 5k miles if this were the case.
Since you just got a brand new clutch cable have you adjusted it properly? Tighten it as much as you can and if it still doesnt work then it sounds like your t-o bearing has fallen off or gotten messed up, either that or the clutch rod itself but thats unlikely. Try adjusting it first.

did you remove and replace the transmission during the "swap" and was that just before the clutch became uncooperative. THen most likely the clutch disc was put in backwards. If it has worked for 5k and the transmission has not been removed the the clutch disc may have thrown out one of the cusion springs and it has wedged the pressure plate into an engaged position.
