How much money do you have. I would just take the head you have off and have a full port polish...maybe leave a little mild on the intake side so the air fuel mixture swirls into the combustion chamber. Then get a 3 angle valve job. Replace the valvetrain with like skunk2 or toda and replace the cams while the head is out. Make sure to adjust your valves. I have ITR's and I did mine 6 on intake and 8 on exhaust but im not sure if its the same with skunk 2 and toda.

something a bit cheaper would be: a mild port job, a little hacked off the deck, a 2 ply head gasket, itr/ctr valvetrain +cams. than it'll be a fun little motor for not too much cash.

if you have the head out and apart though, best idea is to do a full rebuild w/ new guides and seals.

Your question as to which parts to use is too vague. Do you plan on keeping the stock bottom end? What about long term goals for the car? Let us know exactly what you plan to do and then we can help you make an educated decision.
