I done the same except i broke the 1st on top left when fitting my DC JDM 4-1 on my last car, i was going to repalce it and watched for blow out for almost 18 months but it was ok and so never bothered in the end (sold it that way but gave the buyer the new bolt/stud to replace it)
A header will change the exhaust note, i already had a mugen cat back and it did, ever so slightly make it more raspy so its quite possible with a stock exhaust it will be more raspy....but do you not think you done that *** about face...i would have got an exhaust before getting a header!

hey thanks man for the quick replys.. well i guess i'll leave it untill i see signs of leakage. I got the header because here in Hawaii theres a law that if you modify your car you need to get a reconstruction permit. well my car cant pass recon and I dont need an exahust to get popo's attention.

jeez does every US state have some crazy law/regulation in regard to cars?

Over here in europe (ireland) we can do just about anything to our cars, if you want you can buy a daihatsu domino (city car with 600cc engine) and if you can shoe horn in a race prepped JTCC 600bhp supra/NSX/skyline engine in there and get some engineer to say its been done properly (which is pretty easy to do!!!) then you can drive it everyday/anywhere without a worry!!!!

When the engine is cold start the car up, Put your hand around the header and feel for any air. If there air then there leak.

I've break serveral bolt on my car. Rear Strut Bolt LOL, Fuel rail bolt, Valve cover bolt.

Are you talking about the head stud that holds the header onto the head? Just drill it out if so. Find a drill bit that is a little smaller than the stud. and drill. A little bit in, do in reverse and hopefully the piece of the stud will catch and screw out. Have does this many times...If not then drill out and tap and then put a new stud in...works will...can get them from honda. sorry if im no help. Please dont make any remark about me being a trail user..I am just new to the site but have honda experiance.

I broke the top of a bolt while tighting it. The stud on the ends were fine. do I do the same for the bolt?

How do I get the bolt out? can I do the same?

There are two options:
1) Remove the part (header) and use a stud remover to grip the shank of the bolt.
2) Weld a nut onto the remaining bolt stud and use a wrench to remove it. You basically fill the center of the nut with weld to attach it to the stud. A MIG welder is great for this. This option also works for broken studs.

Is he actually talking about the stud? cuz thats pretty easy to get out. Take a picture of what you are talking about cuz your getting me all confused...is it the head stud or what? or a bolt that connects the 2 pieces of the header...well anyways what dogginator said you can weld a nut on or....

if there is still enough thread on the stud...find 2 nuts that will fit it assuming that you didnt damage the stud so much that a nut wont go on...

screw both the nuts on as tight as they go...find 2 open end wrenchs not box end... i think they are 12mm and use the one closest to the head to turn left to loosen and the one furthest away from the head to hold thight.

This will cause...the nut not to loosen while the bitch broken stud stays put..as you are hold the nuts on...you are turning the broken stud as well.

***Caution..You will have to figure out a way to do this on your own...Sometimes other mishaps will come along the way and dont come back here and say it didnt work because of me. IF it doesnt work its your *** that cant take the help i gave you and add a little of his...have fun with your stud removal lol...
