Default Exhaust leak at header flange! Should I worry about it??

I installed a DC 2-piece 4-2-1 header a while ago and there seems to be a leak between the flanges...

I bought the header used and the bolts were cross threaded so I couldn't tighten them all the way down

I am thinking about drilling the threads out and replacing them with some regular bolts...has anyone done this before? or should I just not worry about it?

Definately drill it out and bolt a bolt through it and a nut at the other end

or you can do what i did
take and weld it together
viola you now have a one piece header and no more leaks unless you suck at welding

or you can just remove the bolt and re thread the hole and fix it that way

My "used" header has the same problem, and it already has the regular bolts and nuts in it. I'm thinking of putting a bead of weld around it

weld it =
the only thing wrong with it is it might be a pain sometime if you need to remove the header, instead of just taking out one part, you gotta take the lower part out too, i dealt with it first hand. not that its a big problem or nothing, just sometimes you might have to jack up the car to take out the header.

That can't handle the heat long term though, can it?

Do you have a metal reuseable gasket with that header? You said you bought it used so it may have been missed. May need a new gasket.

Retread the hole.

The header came with the gaskets that go between the two flanges (2 o-rings)

Yesterday I went down to Home Depot and got some nuts and bolts..

took the bolts out that were in there and replaced them with new ones! No more leak! My car is sooo much more quiet! And it only cost me about $2

I didn't really want to weld it and the bolts are working great so far!
