I had the Skunk2 and hated it. It rattled like crazy. I ended up getting rid of it for the DC and love it. The DC is a shorter throw, and sits lower. The stock **** fits on the DC but not on the Skunk2. My Skunk2 **** discolored after a few weeks of use. Hope this helps.

Not worth it... you don't need it any shorter.

I agree, and you could always get the Mugen shift ****, it sure feels better than the stock one. Not to mention the 5whp gain!

I installed the Energy Suspension shifter bushing, and love it...if I did go with a short shifter I would go with the C's shifter...you should have asked yesterday, as Reid(Akira R) has a short shifter that is made locally installed on his car.

Sean,

The C's is the same length as the stock R shifter, only the stroke is shorter.

You are welcome to try mine

Shane - I didn't mean that it was shorter in length. I would love to try it out.

Ive got the Skunk2 on my gsr and ive had no problems. Ive had it in for like 5 months now. It never rattles and the shifts are precise and not sloppy. The bushings helped the most tho. I like it.

the dc does not have a shorter throw the skunk2 does, its made a whole lot better than the dc short shifter and sits as high as the stock one so that you don't have to reach down as far, and the only reason why it rattles is maybe you didn't tighten it enough or you didn't bend the exhaust hanger up alittle bit.
get the skunk2 heavier than the dc for a for precise shift, and better mad than the dc

Doesn't Cs make a shifter that sits higher than stock with a shorter throw? I've heard that a higher position is nice because of the shorter distance between the shifter and steering wheel.

I shift hard sometimes, i would be afraid of breaking the aluminum dc sports one. The skunk2 is is a nice hardend steel.

C's is THE standard. Try to find a short shifter in Japan that isn't a C's or made by C's. Pretty tough.

Just out of curiousity, what makes the C's short shifter so damn good as everybody says? Just the quality, design, or material etc.?
