integra skunk2 shifter problem when racing need help to keep smoking v8s

integra skunk2 shifter problem when racing need help to keep smoking v8s
ok here is the problem :
i have 1995 integra with a skunk2 short shifter dobble bent
when i am on any gear 1,2,3,4,5 and reverse my stick shifter bounce arround when i am on any gear i put my hand on the shift **** and it moves to the sides just like when you do it on neutral position
this is making me miss 3 gear only when i am racing so i boght some red energy bushing for my linkage and now it feels smoth and better when shifting but the shifter still moves to the sides even when i am on gear , i have a frind that has a 2000 integra gsr with dc short shifter and his shifter does not move when is on any gear .
please help me if you had the same problem or know how i can fix it
i was thinking to replace the bolt that goes inside across the shifter and put one bigger , also to put something between the shifter and the linkage (h) so when i tight the bolt the linkage won bent and touch the shifter thanks for your help

well the skunk2 shifter usually comes with some spacers to fill in that gap so you don't bend the shifter linkage fork. you can just buy a new set for 10.95 from skunk2 like i did. i bought my shifter used and it didn't come with spacers so i used a few washers. you can either try using the washers or just buy a new set of the bolt and spacers.

I had the same problem and it was because the dowel pin(where the linkage meets the tranny) was reused after a clutch install.
Buy a new dowel pin for like 25 cents and pound it into the shiftlinkage, it will go in REAL tight and eliminate the side to side play.

You didn't install any spacers on the through-bolt. The linkage definitely should not be bending when you tighten the bolt. That's the problem, so get some Skunk2 spacers and all will be
