Default Instead of a C5 bottom end, What if. . .

What if I just used an ITR crank and went w/aftermarket rods/pistons on my b16

wouldnt that be cheaper? I'm sure this has to be effective in some way or another instead of buyin the entire bottom end. .

The way I look at it is the b16 has a shorter deck height than the b18 and if i have a type r crank, then i have the type r's rod/stroke ratio, but in a b16. . . wouldnt i have more compression because of the shorter deck heigh??

Cuz i was lookin at the toda stroker kit, only thing that really makes anything different in that kit is the crank right? (besides the different c/r pistons)

somenoe enlighten my path to NA-ism

Ummm...you won't have more compression because you won't be able to bolt the head down with the pistons sticking out so high. If you want to attempt this, then contact Tech43 Racing and ask about their kits to allow this kind of thing.
