Default Tire wear

I just got my suspension installed, AGXs and H&R springs. After the alignment I have a shake in the wheel sometimes. I was told the tires were wearing improperly due to the alignment being off. I took it to get the tires balanced and the shake remains. I thought it was the balancing because it isn't there all the time. What do you guys think?

As a side note, my car was already lowered the same amount and it didn't feel like the alignment was off. It amazes me that these cars are rock solid even when the alignment is jacked. This is still the best car I've ever had (even after having a G35 for two years).

What kind of 'shake' is it? Does it happen when you are going straight at a certain speed, or while turning, or...?

I think that it is possible (depending on when the shake occurs) that your camber may be off. If the tires were all 'leaning' in (negative camber) as a result of the lowering it would cause the tires to wear unevenly and could also cause shaking when the car moves back and forth slightly as the tires would alternate being flat on the road surface as the weight of the car shifts. It also makes sense that the car would feel solid because the negative camber would improve turn-in allowing you to initiate turns effortlessly.

I know a few companies offer camber kits for this car, but I have no experience with any of them, nor can I guarantee that this will fix your problem, I would wait and get some more opinions before you do anything.

Default Re: Tire wear (KACrocker)

My car is at (as far as the eye can see) the same height it has been at for the past 7 years. This is what has happened in the past week:

Valve stem broke on front driver's tire
Went on road trip around 450 miles round trip
New suspension (shocks and springs) installed and alignment
Shake
Tires balanced (supposedly, they stripped my wheel key and tried to say it was already stripped)
Still shakes

I think if it was a camber issue I would have had it for the past 7 years. Wouldn't the shop that did the alignment say something about this?
