Why do people keep saying that...

check out this post in regards to the johnnyracecar.com intercooler, from this post you will find the information I was in search for as well (some of the older 5inch ones had end tanks at the bottom as well, but if you have the 6inch it will work as well-you should be able to look at it from the front where the grills are to see if you have enough room):

I have a 94 Civic that HAD OEM foglights in it. I had to pull them out and trim that area cause my charge piping coming off my 5" JRC IC had to take that space.

So, it didnt work for me (and I did it last weekend)

This is the website http://www.johnnyracecar.com/ I think the 5in tall one will interfere with the side vents. I have the 6 and I have plenty of room for fogs because the endtanks are at the bottom instead of the middle.

Unless you have the older 5inch intercooler with the endtanks on the bottom, it's not going to work. The new 5inch intercoolers have endtanks in the middle and johnnyracecar.com is not going to be making new designs for the 5inch intercoolers until the new machine is ready. 6inch has the endtanks at the bottom.

You should just sell the fog lights.
