LS into CRX wiring questions...
Hello wiring guru's. I'm putting a 93 LS B18a into a 91 CRX SI have have a few questions about the engine harness. I'm using the CRX SI harness with the LS and everything plugs into place except:
1. There are a set of bullet female plugs on the back of the block that use to plug into the CRX thermoswitch (I believe) but the LS has no place for these plugs.
2. The LS has a sensor on the thermostat housing but the SI engine harness has no plug for this.
3. The EAVC plug is missing, I swear it was on the engine harness cuz the CRX had a EAVC as well.
I have pics but need to figure out how to attach or find a host site.
Do I need to wire the bullet plugs to the Thermostat housing sensor. Additionally, where can the EAVC plug have gone.
Any inputs appreciated. Thanks.

don't think it makes a difference on which bullet goes where. as for the plug yes it should be on the harness. and I think its IAVC
email me at josh@zerodragtuning.com and I'll put the pics up for you. I don't believe it matters which sensor you use, as long as you put the h2o wire to an h2o sensor, etc. I have a 91 Ls, and also have no sensor on the thermo housing...
on the crx/90-93 ls, the thermoswitch is on the back of the block. thats wierd that your 93 ls has it on the thermostat, someone must of change it from a 94+ ls. cut off the two bullet connectors and put the newer style thermoswitch plug on. the wire color does not matter, cause they are both ground(-). as for you eacv wire/plug, it should be there. look for a two pin connector with blu/yel and yel/blk wires. its probably hiding underneath the intake manifold/back of block

That's what I thought.. The head has PR4 and block has B18A1 stamped, can it be a 94 block? the back of the block has only 2 sensors, oil pressure & another sensor with 2 pins...
4gzchatch,
I emailed you some pics of the back of the block along with the thermoswitch. let me know if you can post.
vhd,
I swear I can't find the EAVC plug, the whole motor was out of the car when I plugged the harness on. What colors should the EAVC wires be?
Thanks alot...

no your block is not from a '94.i was not aware that you still had the thermoswitch in the back still. since you have the thermoswitch in back of the block then i would not cut the bullet connectors off. plug it to the sensor with the two pins in the back, above the oil pressure switch, instead of the one on the thermostat housing. EACV wires should be blu/yel and yel/blk.

Ok here's the prob with my setup
I'm using a crx si engine harness on a odb0 ls motor The problem I'm running into is that my IACV has no plug for it. Which is weird beacuse I thought there was one when I pulled the harness off the Si.
I've inspected the harness and looked for this plug everywhere, it's just not there. No wires have been ripped off or cut. I'm throwing a code 14 which is The IACV Code.

Look at the wire colors of the 2-pin round connectors in that area.
You're looking for a Blue/Yellow and a Black/Yellow wire.
Once you find those, you're set
