New brakes! kinda...
I was well overdue for new brakes. The indicator was schreaching like crazy, and the pedal was mushy as hell. So I got all new stuff. New blanks (painted the hubs and edges so they dont rust), Axxis Ultimates, and ATE SuperBlue fluid. What do you think?

damn im well overdue on my brakes too.. so annoying how the steering wheel convulses (sp) when braking. I think my rotors are warpped to ****.
How much was everything? what kind of paint did you use to paint the hubs? looks reallly good. Let us know how well they brake after you break them in.

spray some simple green in that wheel well...let it sit for 10 min and hose it down (using a brush to scrub helps alot too)... it'll take the dirt right off
nice brake setup

$95: Trustop blanks from NAPA (1 year warranty)
$85: Ultimate brake pads f&r
$12: ATE fluid
-----
$192: not bad for better braking
Today was the first day on them and they're starting to feel great. Such an improvement from the way they were.
As for the paint, I just used 1200* engine enamel (Aluminum color) that you get at Waly Mart, Autozone, etc...

Yea they seemed fine. I didn't notice anything wrong w/them.
Question: Isn't there suposed to be a pad spring on the front caliper that pushes down on the pads? I had them on the rear, but my front ones didn't have one.
