My brother has a 97 lude with basic bolt- ons. The other night he was going around 90 in 5th, when he went to down shift he hit second not 4th. The car hit the rev limiter, all the check engine lights came on and then it shut down. The car runs but the engine shakes. We changed the plugs and wires hoping for a fouled plug, but no luck. If he has bent valves, how much will the repair cost. I posted this in the prelude forum, but it is pretty dead this morning any help....

 

bent valves bro , i dont knwo how much they are, one of the other guys on the forum did that and said something about like $800 range to get them replaced.

that's how Silock's friend blew his motor. My buddy bent 10 valves in his R with an 80 shot that backfired - cost his 2500.00 to rebuild it with JE and Crower - and now he's running direct port - look out...
