EF9 door ? WTF!!!!!!!
Will and 88-89 door fit on a 90-91 both or from a HB.
and has any on put a jdm door on to a 90-91 HB and was it a direct bolt on. the problem I am having is that I need a passenger door for my 1990 civic hb but am having trouble finding one. I have found a few us 89's and a few jdm(which are all the 88-89 style but have not heard form someone who has actually preformed the swap. thanks for all the help I can get. I am waited on the door so I can finally get my pos painted. Can’t stand have to 2 colored car with a dinted door.

88 doors and JDM doors are the same except that JDM don't have a side impact beam. I don't remember if a HB has the door-mounted seatbelt like the CRX but if it doesnt, it's a direct swap.

well, 88-89 have the seat belts mounted to the b-pillar. the side glass on 88-89 are wider. the 90-91 have the belt mounted to the door. glass is also difrent from 88-89. about the side impact beam.. i know that the 90-91 have it but i have not looked into the 88-89.. in reality you can put a 88-89 door into an 90-91 civic the onlu problem is the seat belt...........
I've tried the 88-89 door onto a 90-91 hb.
It was my parts car that was quite ghetto, and one of the doors was the 88-89. When I got it it was bolted on, but could not shut due to the latch strikers that are mounted in the top corner of the door jams for support for the door mounted seat belts.
After realizing that the bolts holding it on are some special bolts I decided to whip out the Dremel and go to town.
Don't use the dremel, after an hour of two and 10 discs, use something bigger to cut them out.
I finally got the striker in the top out of the door jam and the door shut. It didn't shut perfect, b/c I had to lift it up a tad, but that was prolly b/c it was not aligned properly....so I think you should go for it if they're local, or not far.
