Default good place to install a switch

I'm installing a switch for my antenna so it doesn't have to go up everytime i play a cd. My question is, does anyone know of a good place to install the switch in the dash, so that its easily accessible well placed and if anyone has any pics, could they please post them. Thanks

Well, the obvious places would be the "blanks" that are already in the car. There should be 4 empty spots near the E-brake and probably some more near your cruise control switch (depending on your year/model).

Get a switch and dremel out a spot in the blank plastic for the switch to snap in. There you go....clean and looks stock.

what car? cause if its a DA, i'd say to the left of the steering wheel by the side mirror adjust switch. use a flat box style switch, not one with a stick. dont get a lighted switch, and if you do, dont hook the light up, the light is bright and looks terrible.

Yea, pop out a blank, I have one in there...

and yea, the lighted switches look like ****...nice idea, but if the manufactures can figure out a way evenly distribute the light, it'll be nice, but they way they are now is just a bright white light inside some blue plastic

theres an antenna up wire coming out the back of the radio.... on after market radio's its the dark blue/white strip wire. not the light blue, thats remote for an amp. i dunno what the color of the factory wire is.... and i dont feel like looking it up, just throw a switch on that wire.
