can a Y7 head have VTEC added to it?
alot of people do moni me swaps by adding a vtec head to their non vtec sohc block...
is it possible to just make the 7y head into vtec?
I have access to a free y7 head

i think it is possible, you would just need the cam and all the vtec internals. But imo it would not be worth the hassle, i would just get a vtec head.

well the reason is, i wanted to buy new valves springs retainers and get it ported and get a valve job on it and new cams for the y7 head so i could just swap it right in

just do a that to the y7 and keep it non vtec. it would b like a ls, minus one cam. There are some angry non vtec sohc's out there.

No.
Well, maybe yes. Given enough $$$ anything is possible. It would be easier to just pay for a Y8 head.
