odd ecu question....
If i have obdII car with b16 ecu that throws a code for secondary 02 sensor, would this work if i buy harness conversion obdII to obdI and plug in a p72 ecu? all are the ecu pin of a obdI gsr ecu the same as the 99 b16 ecu if you have the conversion harness??? help?????
For a conversion to OBD1, you'd want an ECU that was for, or chipped for, a B16. Using a GSR P72 isn't it.
Secondary O2 sensor problem pop up after an exhaust, removal of a cat, or something like that? If so, you can just remove the secondary O2 sensor from the exhaust stream, but leave it plugged in and zip tied out of the way, and you get no CELs. The ECU is just using it as a pass/fail test to ensure mixture past the cat is leaner... an O2 sensor in open air reads lean.

wouldn't a gsr p72 by right for my set-up? lsvtec with gsr head obdI both parts going in a ODBII car? b16 seems to work fine but gsr doesn't..... dont' know why?
You never said LS/VTEC previously, I just saw B16 and ASSumed.
A B16 ECU will run a GSR or LS/VTEC lean, just like a GSR ECU will run a B16 too rich.
