Default dry vs. wet shot

I have never used a nitrous system before, and i was wondering the difference between dry and wet shot systems and which is better.

Typically your wet system is better. Only because you get an even dispersion of nos across all cylinders.

wet system sprays nitrous + additional fuel

dry sprays just nitrous, and leaves it up to your car's ecu to accomodate for the increased air + add more fuel.

dry is easier to install (only 1 solenoid instead of 2 to wire, don't have to splice into your fuel line). But dry can also cause you to run lean, increasing your chances of running into problems. Also, a dry shot typically isn't as powerful as a wet shot, because it doesn't add fuel on its own

a wet shot is harder to install, but is more reliable. I don't know about more even dispersion, because with both types you're just spraying into your intake (unless you were referring to a direct port or fogger system).

I have a nitrous express wet kit, and am extremely satisfied with it. Install isn't as tough as it sounds either, they have instructions on their website if you want to check it out and see if you think you could handle it.

What kind of engine are you using, and how much hp are you shooting? For how long have you been using it.

stock f23. just got my bigger jets in the mail so i'll be running a 75 shot. you can do 20hp more per cylinder safely on a stock engine. anything more than that and you should at least go colder plugs, some timing retard and maybe a bigger fuel pump depending on what you're using it on

For how long have you been using Nitrous? Any problems so far?

not too long, only a couple weeks. I don't have any timing retards or colder plugs (not needed with NX, wouldn't be a bad investment though). no problems, i was really skeptical about how it would perform when I installed it and I've been impressed.

if you're worried about reliability though, I know several other 6G drivers running a 75 shot on their f23 for over a year
