Default HHHMMM smokey smokey

well the problem is that whenever i rev pass 4500 i get a continuous stream of blue smoke.

ive done a compression test and the results are 195-200-197-198 which i think is pretty good.

so has anyone got any ideas what could be causing the smoke ?

i dont think his compression test would have been that good if its blowing by his rings. check the valve seals

CR tests are not always the best means of checking rings. Sometimes engines with bad rings will still have good CR readings.

Valvestem seals will usually cause smoke at idle.

Rings will cause blue smoke under throttle.

Are you sure it is blue and not black smoke?

The compression test will verify your compression rings and not your oil rings. If your oil rings are finished, you'll be getting a lot of oil blow-by and the CR readings will look fine.

Get a leakdown test. It's more accurate to pinpoint oil consumption.
