Uhhhh Ohhhh Spaghettios!
Looks like someone could be telling a story! How much does a GSR cost when I have an LS/Vtec that might blow up, yet I'm asking how to make an LS into a GSR?
Well regardless, we're not here to criticize so I guess I'll help you buy saying:
If your wanting the power of a GSR, go ls/vtec. However, I personally (others will try to disagree, pm me to debate) wouldn't go with a GSR head. I'd go with a . . . . GASP!. . b16 head. 1st gen or second, preferabblyl second. I say b16 simply because (1) its a great head and with that set up, done correctly, you could make more power than a GSR makes base lineand (2) they're easier to find and cheaper than a c1 head.
Now before newbies start flaming me saying "Unnt Uhhh, da GSR is rated @ 170 somethin hp and the b16 is 160hp", . . . please know that the motor's horse power rating is not directly related to the amount of horse power you can create with the head. Especially when its attached to a 1.8 with more torque.

I haven't checked prices lately, but I'm guessing between 1500-1800 for the swap.

I just recently went out and checked the same thing at Advance Auto just for the hell of it and it costs 2,300 for an Ls non-vtec(b18a1) and 2,400 for an g2 GsrVtec (b17) and 2,500 for an g3 GSR Vtec(b18c1)..
yea i agree......it does sound like a story. i wouldnt be surprise if ppl say stuff. LONG STORY. lets just say its a pass me down 4rm my older bro and i want gsr. i dont wanna get into a REAL story. its personal stuff
Honestly you wouldn't need a complete swap. A longblock, intake manifold, and ECU would pretty much take care of it if you're comfortable running a few wires yourself, so you can probably save yourself about $1000 off the cost of a complete swap and use the remaining money to invest in other things.

i dont know ... can anyone tell me if thats right plz ?

I'd go with b16 head too, just because it's cheaper..
