Odd tire wear help( with Falkens ).
I am trying to figure out wtf happened with Azenis. My front wore so god damn fast.
The car was aligned, I had some camber from the car having Eibach prokit on it. I cant find my print out from a month ago.... but I have like 3k on these tires and the front 2 just got worn so fast.
I have some caster problems on the drivers side, but that side didnt wear as fast as the passenger side.
Heres the thing, its even wear across the WHOLE tire, its not typical camber/toe wear(alignment fixed the toe to 0)... I didn't have to bad of a caster problem on the passenger side. It was way worse on the drivers side(attribute to a accident I had a while back, wasn't suspension damage or anything).
I am just trying to figure out if the caster and camber could have cause the tire to wear so ******* fast, I barely have 3k on these tires to begin with... the rear are perfect, they look like there brand new, just the front got destroyed so quick.
My question is, could understeer have killed these things? I like to beat around the back roads in this car, and it still slightly understeers. I don't launch and spin all over the place with my car, no point, the car is a turd. Im just trying to figure out why in the hell the tire wore so fast... At the rate I am going I will get 6k barley out of these tires. Sucks... Im hoping its just something with the car it self... I wish I had my damn print out from the alignment to throw it up here. I rotated the tires for the 1st time, if they wear this fast I may not buy another set because I at least need to get 6 mouths out of them.
Any thoughts? Or these tires just that soft?

I figured as much... esp when I saw it was nice even wear accross the tire...
Sucks... at least they are 14s... I can get them for like 41 a tire...not bad... sucks.. I guess I will move onto a more reasonable street tire.
Anysuggestions?

yea falken azenis have horrible lifetime. i only use them for the autox track. a good alternative is yokohama es100. i have them on my street wheels and they've lasted me around 35000 miles now. that's only because i drive like a granny on the street with the occasional fun moment.

I also got about 35K on my last set of ES100's w/ -2.5 camber.
Pics of the worn tires and the alignment printout would help us determine the problem.

I don't know how you guys do it with those AVS ES100s. I wore all 4 of mine evenly down well past the wear bars in 10,000 miles. And I do not drive that aggressively on the street. If you ask me, F*ck Yokohama

I've got 3k miles, and 16 autox runs on my Azenis, and they are not even close to half tread.
My guess would be you are overdriving your tires. Corner a little more sensibly (or get an LSD) and rotate your tires regularly.
Also, if you are driving that hard you should be running a higher tire pressure up front. As Patrick said, pics would help.

I didn't say take it easy on them, I said corner sensibly. Slow in, fast out. The less oversteer the better. As we know, pushing to hard and understeering like mad is not only slower, it's harder on the tires.
And I was incorrect, I have 24 autox runs on them. I Forgot the 3rd event this year.
