Default guage cluster problems. HELP!

hey guys, could use some help again. my guage cluster is acting a bit weird. heres a brief of what the problems are.

1. - it doesn't light up. I't doesn't light up when i flick my lights on i mean. the tachometer nor the speedometer, as well as temp and fuel guage don't light up, I've checked the bulbs, and they seem fine. I checked the under fuse box under the steering column, all fine there as well. Could someone post a bulb schematic for my cluster so i can dbl check just to make sure i checked the right bulbs?

2. - My tachometer doesn't work at all. now, I can see its getting some sort of signal, because when i floor it, it jumps alot, so I have no idea whats going on. I bought a new cluster because the old one that i got with the car had the same problem. So i've come to the conclusion its faulty wiring or a huge coincidence. Can someone give me a checklist of what to check for that problem?

Now, my status lights do work when i turn on the car, like battery, oil, check engine, etc. are they suppose to light up at night as well? like dimly lit or something.. Its getting real annoying to drive my car at night I can't see NOTHING on my cluster. any help?

Ground it should be right behind your cluster and to right. Should be right by the reinforcement bar. Also wont affect your speedometer cause that is cable driven.
