I searched but didn't really find what I was looking for. I plan on installing my skunk2 s2 cams(gears, and valvetrain as well) soon and I was wanting to raise the compression. I've heard that a thinner head gasket raises it a little. I've also heard bad things about thinner head gaskets, like valves meeting pistons.
Does anyone else have a thin head gasket on their B16? If so what kind is it, and what would be the best?
I plan on doing some block work, but not till i can save some money. That is why I thought a thinner head gasket would be a good, cheap place to start raising the cr. Any other way of raising the cr?
thanks,
charles

Yes it will raise compr a bit but don't expect a whole lot. Also I've heard bad things about everything aftermarket. Haha...its true though. I mean you're about to get some skunk2 goods have you read the recent big thread about skunk products? I think an oem headgasket would be good for now until you save your cash and get some upgraded pistons to raise your compression.
