This is not even a question.

If you build a right turbo setup, you will have WAY more power than NA.

no doubt turbo man, there is a guy here with a all motor lsvtec and made 190 on the dyno and a guy with a stock b16 and a home made turbo setup with a t60 precision turbo and made 344, figure out the difference

Turbo, I've done both and can tell you for the money the turbo is the way to go. N/A is great but it takes a little more investment ($$$$$ and time wise), the turbo is a day or two down time but is a serious kick in the ars! Even with only 8 psi, and if you build it up later down the road bumping up the psi is simply just a adjustment away.

yeah and thats another thing, hp is easily gained by just turning up the boost with something like a grainger valve, just get a block gaurd

turbo is the way to go on a budget.

and dont get caught in the PSI game...

you have to remember you can run lower psi on a larger turbo and make more power then higher psi on a smaller turbo. its all about the cfms

of course larger turbos = more lag... so its kinda give and take.

oh and 8 psi isnt something to be taken lightly. you still will have to think about fuel management so you dont blow yer 3000 bux up in smoke...

Exactly. Turbo Gets my vote for Horsepower. + you get the sounds of that BOV. LOL. Turbo baby. 8 Pounds of boost should be good anyway. Is it going to be daily driven or what? Anywayz, go with turbo.

turbo is the easy way to add power.. but do your research, you can really do more harm then good... with the proper fuel managment/setup you should be safe for a daily driver...

check out the FI Forum if you havent already

do something like a ct26, you'll have more than enough power at 8 psi, actually there is a guy here with a b18 in a crx with a ct26 and just a fmu for fuel managment and he did a 13.7 @ 7 psi and super shitty 60 foots

If you feel you are responsible enough then get the turbo but my buddy and i blew a motor with the turbo we had on it. 7 just wasnt enough so we decided to drive around and find people to **** with. Turned the boost up to 14 there goes another down the drain. Were werent even really that pist cause it was a d series but still why waste money.

But it still all depends on if yur going drag or track, some N/A cars will totally kick a turbos *** on a track, turbo lag is a bitch to handle with and N/A cars have the power to pull out of corners because of the increased airflow in the cylinder heads and higher lift cams, lighter flywheels and better clutch and also back the bitch called "turbo lag"-

Turbo Lag is something that nobody cares about once they go turbo. I'm building a stock D16Z6 with a BB GT28R turbo. I know i'll hit boost @ 3 Grand. Turbo Lag is something that novices worry way too much about. Another myth is unreliable motors due to turbocharging. That may have been the problem a few years ago due to FMU setups, which are still offered today with RevHard kits. This method makes your car run way too rich, but many use the AFC to tune their fuel curve. New EMS solutions can make your FI motor as reliable as your stock NA motor. 8psi can take you a long way with WHP. Do your research and match your turbo to your D series. A T25/T28 will offer you a more linear drive with less lag while something like the SC61 will offer you a surge of power and alot of lag. When your head is snapped into the back of your head rest and you get that funny feeling in your stomach tell me then if you care about lag.

Do not raise your boost just for the hell of it. If it's not tuned for that level of psi's you will blow any motor like the post above.
