running stock fuel pump and boosting...is this ok?
I've had my turbo on for 3 weeks now I have been boosting without an inline...I've seen alot of posts that say not to boost without it...why not?
you can get away with boosting about 7-8psi with stock pump.any higher..pump cant keep up with fuel demand..leaning the motor out and possibly blowing the engine
that would suck. My inlne is on it's way...thanks to Brian (turbointeg95) just curious if I can boost and get away with it. . .I think i'll chill out till it gets here....

Hmm, I wouldn't if I were you. I was boosting for a while, not knowing that my inline pump wasn't on. My EGT temps were way high, indicating a pretty lean mixture. It was around 1450F or so.
Tomakit from HT helped me out with that, and now the temps hover around 1200F even boosting like a madman.
Incidentally, Tom pulled my plugs for a compression test and noticed piston shavings on it....probably from my boosting without the proper fuel.
