Default G35 Muffler on Turbo Accord

I have a turbo 94 accord Ex. I resently installed the Muffler from a G35 Infiniti and a high flow Cat. I dyno the car it did 196 Torque and 166 HP.

I know I can do better. I felt some restrictions after I installed the Cat and Muffler.

Would it come more from the G35 Muffler or the High Flow Cat?

I installed the G35 Muffler because I thought a V6 Muffler on a turbo 4cyclinder would work fine.

I want to remove the Cat, but I don't want to remove it and come to find out that the Muffler is really the issue.

I want to try the least expensive first ( remove the Cat) Can someone give me an opinon on this one?

the cat was probably more of the issue, I would think.
also, arent the g35s dual exhaust?
because then you put a 3cylinder muffler on a 4cyl turbo.

Don't the 6 cylinder flow into one pipe? then into one muffler?

The G35 is one muffler 2.5 inlet with Two 2.5 Outlets.

So you think the muffler would be fine?

I am running 2.5 from the downpipe. I am going to remove the muffler tonight and drive the car to see if I get more power, before I go and get a test pipe installed. I can easily remove the muffer but the Cat test pipe needs to be done by a welder.

How in the he!! did you install a G35 muffler? It is a rather large piece that would not readily fit underneath your 5th gen Accord. I'd have to call BS.

That muffler is the problem. you want a straight through muffler. Any baffled style muffler is going to kill power

Links do not work.

Right click on the image, and go to properties. Highlight and copy the address next to the URL. The put that address in between the image signs. Like this-
IMG]"address here"[/IMG

Wow abeaujuin,

When I read the thread topic I was laughing and was thinking you were on crack. Now that I see what you did and how it looks I am very amazed.

Awesome job. I wouldnt take off the muffle just because it looks like it belongs there. Take off the cat if your area (emissions testing) permits.

Have you considered a high flow cat like a Carsound Cat? 55 bucks shipped on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33629

I removed the Cat and this car rocks hard now.

I did have a High Flow Cat from FlowMasters installed, but I guess it didn't flow enough.

Now that I have the setup for a G35 Exhaust, I will get a Greddy for the G35 and bolt it right in. Which should flow better the the stock.

Wow didn't know you would actually butcher your trunk like that....i stand corrected. Looks like a lot of work just to fit that muffler on there.

Anyways, here's better pics of the muffler ... stock is on bottom of pic.

What exhaust is that you have on the other side? That one may work better with my turbo setup. Is it loud? Does it sound closer to your stock muffler?
