PY Attracts More Bugs - Scientific Test

Today I washed 3 cars:

- Phoenix Yellow 2001 Acura Integra Type R
- Milano Red 1994 Acura Integra GS-R
- Champagne Gold 1988 Honda Civic 4WD Wagon

As soon as I pulled the ITR out of the garage, within minutes it was covered with maybe 50-100 fleas. I did the same with the other two cars and there were no more than 1-2 fleas on them. All cars are maintained using the same products (Zymol Japon wax).

I've heard that cars in bright colors (similar to those occurring naturally in flowers) attract more insects, but this was incredible...

It is so true. Durring the summer, when I leave work I will walk out to my car, which is parked next to some trees and a grassy area, and my car will be swarming with bugs. The cars next to me? Nothing.

What really sucks is when one of the yellowjackets goes in your car when you open the door

Agreed. My R seems to attract bugs like NO OTHER!!!

RIGHT after I wash it...while I'm trying to shammy it...they're on there!!!

heh, any excuse to dig up old pics...this was Ds car (the bumper, liscense plate plug is visible lower right) with two particularly jucy bugs some time ago...gotta love the macro mode of the digicam (the picture is untouched, the bugs were talking to each other)

ah man you guys disrespecting the flea.. Did you know the flea's sex organ is 1/3 his body size?? I only know that because it was in The best of maxim 2001.
