Quick synchro question:
At what part of the shift does the synchro do its job? Is it when you are moving the shifter into gear and before you let off the clutch?
Once the tranny is in gear, launching hard by reving it up and slipping the clutch will only wear the clutch and not the synchros right?

they are for shifting.....key word synchronize.....when clutch is pressed, takes power away from tranny input shaft. Input shaft is now spinning a little slower. The synchros allow the shifter fork to move gear easier to its location.
