what would i have to do to install my d16y8 in my 1990 crx si thanks

just do a mini me use your stock block and swap the heads all you need is a vtec controler/ rev swich. and d16y8 head gasket.

what rainforest said, or you would have to take drivers side motor mount bracket off your crx motor, bolt it up to the d16y8 motor. Then you would have to decide whether you want to use the cxr intake manifold and ecu and add a vtec controller, get a one wire zdyne ecu conversion, etc. Or you can do what i am gonna do. install the d16y8 motor, get a non obd to obd1 wiring harness adapter, and plug in a p28 sohc vtec ecu from a 92-95 civic. wire an additional 8 wires into the engine, and repin the distributor connectors and i am all set. I am going to use the intake manifold and exhaust manifold from the d16y8 as they flow better than the crx ones. Depends on how much work you are willing to do.
