Compression problem
either new piston rings or the leak is in the valves (seals or bent valve.) It's not a big problem at all. both are fairly easy fixes if you're mechanically inclined at all.
that was exactly what my car was. 30 on one cylinder, so i took the head off and it was a chipped valve! the cylinder wasnt even firing! Most likly valves just do a leakdown test if ya know how
You really need to do a leakdown test. That will eliminate the piston ring possibility. To do this, squirt a tablespoon of oil in that cylinder and redo the test.
Now if you have access to pressurized air, you may want to shoot air in that cylinder and listen carefully where the air is leaking. Take your valve cover off for this if you wish

Thanx for the help, anyone else have any other input? And how much would it be to replace a bent valve like stated above.

Caramel, don't waste your time trying to find the cost of replacing a bent valve. Test your problem first, then you will know what you are dealing with. It is not because someone had a problem that sounded like yours that it is what is happening to you... Do some tests first....
