Default exhaust removal question

wondering if i were to disconnect the stock catback on my 93 cx and leave it open, not have a catback/rear muffler, would i loose hp? torque? gain anything? and how would it sound..i know ur thinking, buy a catback exhaust, i will, but short funds for now. so any information would be great, thanx..

it would sound like a beast and you would get a little better flow but i don't think you'd get a power gain. IT IS VERY LOUD. like irritate your neighbors loud.

it will be extremly LOUD and polute the environment. just save your funds and do it right. BTW im sure Florida has laws against running an open exhaust so save yourself the headache.

also you will loose power low end maybe pick a few highend, but overall not worth it unless its a full blown race car...
