Default exhaust removal/power question

wondering if i were to disconnect the stock catback on my 93 cx and leave it open, not have a catback/rear muffler, would i loose hp? torque? gain anything? and how would it sound..i know ur thinking, buy a catback exhaust, i will, but short funds for now. so any information would be great, thanx..

it will sound very loud and horrible. you won't gain anything. you will probably lose power.

you want an exhaust? check out the Official Exhaust thread.

it was stock at that time. don't do it for another reason...

i don't know about florida laws, but i believe it's illegal to not have a muffler.

just giving you a heads up, so don't complain if you get a ticket.
