motor is working fine for the passenger window... just the drivers side doesnt go up or down. i did take the door panel off and everything looks in tact. its wierd cause the window goes does randomly... like lets say i first start my car up... then immediately put the window down... and it goes down... then after like 2 minutes its stuck. im all wtf?

I have a 97 coupe, the tracks are not steel they are aluminum so they bend very easily, what you have to do is take off the door panel and make sure that the window is still on the track there are two 10mm bolts that hold the track in place. you just losen those two bolts and re-situate the window into the track hold them in the spot you want and tighten them down, careful cause if you crank on the bolts you will strip out the holes, so just tighten them down good not great, this will happen to you again its common on civics, i have had it happen at least 10 times, i have the repair time down to 5 mins ive done it so much

it def. sounds like your motor. Mine had gotten off track in the winter which sucked big time. When I got off work I pulled it into the bay and took off the panel and found that it had come off the front track so I had to remove a bolt thats at the lower part of the door where it allowed me to swing the track back and forth so I got it around the edge of the glass and held it as tight as I could and tightened the bolt back up. Window has worked perfect ever since. Now all I have to do is figure out why the passenger window goes up/down slow in the winter time.

Check your grounds and all the fuses... there are fuses for each door...
