I have a 88 CRX with a B16a and Hasport mounts. This car is my daily driver and it has insane vibration at idle, at rough at other times also.
I was told that it is because I got Hasport mounts, and they are solid?? While, my friend has HCP mounts, where the poly... stuff is slitted, so the engine can flex, without interfering with the chassis.
Is this true? Or is it a deeper problem? Can I put in HCP mounts and be done with it... does anyone else have this problem with Hasport mounts?
Note: they are the new Hasport mounts, just got them last summer.

yea your car a vibrating just from your mounts. my car does the same. its not gonna hurt anything, but sometimes just gets real anoying. just think like a do..... i have a race car
I got them HCP mounts, and you know what? Still vibration.
With my first swap I thought it was a shitty enine that needed tune up/rebuild... This time... SAME THING, and rebuilt engine, and brand new **** all the way through.
This is why the stock mounts are not solid... It doesn't take a genious.
Hope this helps. Honda didnt want the vibration all through the car. Every manufacturer tries to find a happy medium between luxury, performance, price, reliability, etc... When we make parts that change these variables, then it isn't the same car any longer. Is it better? Is it worse? The decision is totally left up to the person who loves the car. The owner/driver. I like mine having a B18A1. I don't like the vibration. Therefore, it is both to me. I will be watching for some mounts that are 'slotted'. I am intrigued. If anyone has a pic of these, please POST!!!
