Ok, my alarm usually locks the car and arms itself a little while after I close the doors, or I could arm manually with the remote.

Today I noticed that it would not self arm or even allow me to arm it manually. When I press the LOCK/ARM button, all it does is lock the doors without arming the alarm. The LED stays solid instead of blinking as it usually does when the alarm is armed. I made sure my doors were fully closed and so is everything else.

...Any ideas?

 

Valet mode???

 

Your alarm is in "VALET"mode, check owners manual on how to get it out of valet.
