i mite get flamed but loose the ctr pistons there tooo domyyy get some piston that dont have that big of a dome. running it with pump gas mite get a problem in hot nevada u have a bit comression with the gasket and the valves. plus the domy piston stuff this is wut i hear the amount of air fuel that actually gets into the motor will not be the same and ive also heard of the exhaust gases exiting the motor or something to do with the combustion i forget which but yea... but anyways if you still want to run that much compression get some jun3, skunk2 stage 2, not sure maybe rs machine cams.

ctr pistons...negative, go with pr3's or p30's
oe headgasket, mess on spoon mess
go with ROCKET nae flat faced valves, nothing from skunk please
rlz or rocket springs and retainers are both very nice ( i use RLZ on my 230whp itr)
and cams...well, RLZ stage 2 cams are an excellent street cam...they can easily make over 200whp on b16's and more on 1.8L's

Can't he simply retard the timing if he had pinging problems because of running the ctr pistons?

thats *** backwards engineering. just run lower compression. theres no point in running high *** compression, than retarding timing...

thanks for the help. i didn't really want to tear into the block, i just want a little more pep in its step. i had skunk2 stage ones and hated tem. i trade my friend the skunks for ctr cams. car runs way better and is faster. i was thinking a jun valve train.or toda. (if i can afford it.)

don't waste money on jun or toda valve train
get some RLZ single springs, they'll handle ANYTHING you can throw at them, and make more power than the jun/toda springs will
