OT: Who wants a super clean DC2R Twinloop, Carsound, Spoon 4-2-1 exhaust?
Got this in, not happy with the sound. Feeling great gains, but disappointed as it's not the stock sound levels I had expected. Not all that loud, but for my application, stock noise level is preferred. Taking interested parties here (in order) first before going to classifieds. AFK for a week, hit me back and I'll hit you back next Friday 7/2.
Used from HT, excellent cond on everything, and all new gaskets. Slight scratches on the bottom of the Twinloop resonator, otherwise immaculate. Have not reviewed what I paid to set a price, but will be an above average deal.

i just got a chance to hear the fujistubo rm01a on an itr. jdm 4-1 header, carsound cat, and fujistubo all the way back. it sounds stock unless you get on it a little bit. looks great as well. just a suggestion.
i'm sure other owners will pop in a give their take on it.
otherwise, sounds like a great deal here. i highly recommend the spoon 4-2-1 header. great midrange and high-end. though i can't quantify with any dyno plots.

That is what I understood from reading up on HT. Also why I'm disappointed. I'll go through my install again, maybe something is wrong. Or perhaps it's just harmonics.
Very deep, nice sound, and above 5k it's great (seems like everything in the R is). At 3-4K it really booms at the muff. Very noticable power gains from 4.5K on up. Still breaking in the new clutch, so I've not had it past 7.5K yet.
I have neighb's and popo to deal with, so I like to be able to have stealth when necessary. Plus years and years of built moto toys, my hearing cant stand too much more assualting

i have a similar setup on my B16A2: MTL, JDM 4-1, carsound car, 2.5'' piping. I agree it is WAY louder than my stock exhaust, but its a good loud. Not like many other exhaust notes around; in my opinion, worth keeping.
are you saying mugen twinloop sounds bad?
wow. when i first got it on my car it was like stock loud but as it broke in on my car.. it started sound different.
i'm interested on carsound.. let me know

Definitely a good, not a 'bad' sound. Just louder than I had expected or been lead to believe.
Status is 'in testing'. I'm thinking I have a bad rear O2 (no codes tho), and I'm running a bit rich, and thus loud. Could also be the Carpsound.
If sold, I may consider parting, and if so, as header, cat, and catback. I will not part the B-pipe and muffler as seperate pieces unless I have buyers and cash for both first.

If that's the case then you should leave your exhaust stock. I don't think there would be ANY aftermarket exhaust would be quieter than the twin loop -- except the ones from Midas I guess.

I've had that exhaust on my car for a few months and I can't agree that it sounds stock or close to stock at any rpm. Even at idle the sound is noticeable louder. When I drove around town, the buzzing sound is all over the cabin. It sounds really nice tho.

Yes, it is. How much more gain can be had by replacing the 53mm B pipe to the res? Is this advised, or would it 'ruin' the expensive Mugen bling exhuast?
Yes, I can expect it to be louder than stock. Yes, I want the gains of the header, hi flow cat, and good catback - it is very noticable and good. Yes, I have found a VERY SLIGHT leak at the cat/B pipe gasket, and retourqued all the bolts, quieting it up A LITTLE. No, I don't really want it this loud, but I need another week of testing at least to insure there is not something else wrong that makes it louder for some reason.
