Default IGNITION?

I have a 94 prelude and was wondering what kind of power gains I can expect from a high power MSD or NGK ignition? Any Problems??? Thanks

No power gains, really, but it will smooth out your idle as well as revs...and starts will be easier and faster. I've fully upgraded my ignition in preparation for turbo, and the car is a lot smoother

Iridum plugs may give you 1-2 more hp...

Problem I had was with the Jacobs Electronics stuff that was in when I bought the car...The ignition box just died one day

Also, is it worth replacing my coil since it is an external coil? Benefits? Thanks again

I'd go with MSD, can't be beat, it's what they do most and best...I have a MSD sport compact ignition, Blaster 2 coil, Magnecore race wires, Denso Iridiums and a Crane cams cap...Good stuff so far

A new coil is only like 30-40 bucks and it's more powerful, lighter and smaller....

Waste of money in my opinion just buy some new stock components and it will run perfect like it did teh day it rolled off teh assembly line.

Usually the OEM parts(from Honda), cost more than aftermarket and they're not performance-oriented...But, yes, not a terrific investment to some people....

Hey, thanks a lot, any special tools or instructions for putting the ignition in? Is it easy to do it myself? Thanks again
