Default Engirne Swap

I just Frinished putting a 99 Civic EX Engine in my 95 Civic EX. What i did was that i left my 95 Intake Manifold. What ploblems would i run into with that? or what benifits will i get if i put the 99 Intake Manifold.

you should use the D16Y8 (96-00) intake manifold. it flows better than the D16Z6 (92-95) intake manifold.

you won't have any problems, but i think there is a little power loss by using your Z6 IM.

yes, you can use the Z6 IM on a 96-00, and vise versa.

i thought the water passage from a d16z6 and a d16y8 are different
d16z6 was circle and the d16y8 was square?

haha, look at you, why would you wanna put a 99 d16y8 in your civic ex 95. you just lost power. your losing alitte top end. the 99 d16y8 are weak. yea it's got 127hp like two more. well that's what they tell you. dnyo it and the d16z6 out power it. d16z6 got more power at the wheel. and because it's obd1. that smog crap doesn't plus the d16z6 got a shorter tranny with a better top end flow with a higher rev, up to almost 7500rpm. while the d16y8 (96 and up) redline at about 6800rpm. and even if you did put that intake manifold, it's not like you can tell. and yea the y8 manifold is better i have to agree with you on that.

the y8 manifold is about like the type R intake manifold of d series, just switch your plugs

put the y8 manifold the plymouth is biggest of all d series and the runners are the shortest on all d series. what you should donext is get a 94 and integra ls throttle body and get it gasket matched that combo is pretty good on that set up... just my opinion good luck

Thanks everyone for all of your answers. i really apreciate it sorry for all the questions but is that this is my first Swap and i'm doing it my self without the help of a real mechanic.
One other question that i have is that do to the reason that i haven't chage my Intake manifold, could that be the reason why my V-tech is not OPENING. and when i shift to second my car like just dye out and loose alot of POWER.?
