How are you guys preventing fuel starvation when running race tires at autox or lapping events?

I have an EF that I'm prepping for SM/ DM, and possibly some lapping/ driving schools.

At under 1/2 tank, I'm already experiencing some questionable fuel delivery for high G corners/ sweepers.

Should I add a complimentary fuel pump/ sump/ baffling/ etc to prevent such?

Any help you guys could give me would certainly be appreciated.

 

I dont know how to baffle a gas tank, but i had the same problem first time i ran my car in SM. I would run almost no gas when i ran HS, but first time out in SM with 500 pounds GC konis,13x8 with kumbos the car fuel starved in like the 3rd turn. My suggection is just run a full tank as much as you can i havent had any problem since. Track day can be pain in the *** due to how much gas you use but doing this a cheap qucik fix instead of baffling.

 

The best way is TWO fuel cells.

One conventional feeding>>>.

One small, always full, so the pickup is always fully immersed.

This can be accompolished in many ways.

jimmy, why don't you just feel up the tank all the way moron.. That way when you hit the wall it will make an awesome fire show

 

its common to have to stay over a half a tank of fuel to prevent starvation. but you can add a surge tank with an external fuel pump and you can stay pretty low and ensure never leaning out.
