It's worth it but you need to have it dyno tuned. If it isn't tuned it is worthless.

They allow you to change the acutal time of the camshaft. So basically when the valves open and close in relation to position of the pistons.

To do this properly and get its full potential you do need to have it dyno tuned.

Basically it is moving the power band up or down in the rpm range, trying to take advange of other mods that you have done to your car.... if any !!

Retard Timing = Higher RPM power
Advanced Timing = Lower RPM power.

AEM gears are **** i know 2 people who had them and both had the bolts strip out, they had to drill them. get some better gears if you do buy some i recommend spoon skunk2 or toda i have had all on diff. motors and work very well. i like the design with more then 3 bolts on it. just my opinion good luck in any venture.

Bogus man, you guys know any place around the Philly area or NJ that can dyno tune and how much does it cost?

Down here it's like $60 a run.

If it's a single cam engine, you're wasting money. You'll see a minimal gain, and only on a dyno...

It will be able to shift your powerband, but only by a couple hundred RPM, and it may affect driveability...

I believe you can take the cam gear and advance the timing with it. Getting you more HP. Alittle, but some at least? But you DO NEED TO get it dyno tuned to most efficent results
